Range Rover Sport enhanced with special edition models and new straight-six mild hybrid diesels

THE Range Rover Sport has received an array of upgrades to enhance its appeal, including efficient new six-cylinder diesel engines, advanced technology and connectivi­ty and eight new exterior colour options and interior choices. In addition three new special edition models are joining the existing line-up giving Range Rover Sport buyers more choice than ever.

With new in-line Ingenium diesel engines featuring mild hybrid technology drivers benefit from the performanc­e of the older engines but with the fuel consumptio­n and emissions of a modern six-cylinder unit. The D350 and D300, replace the V8 and V6 diesel, and bring Mild Hybrid Electric Vehicle (MHEV) technology to the Range Rover Sport for the first time; being Rde2-certiifed, they’re also one of the world’s leading clean diesel engines.

Alongside the smoother, more refined and efficient diesel engines are a range of powerful petrol and PHEV powertrain­s. The Range Rover Sport P400e PHEV provides 25 miles of EV range and claimed fuel economy of 88.3 mpg, thanks to a powerful 300 PS Ingenium petrol engine and an 105 kw electric motor for a combined 404 PS. It’s also quick – reaching 60 mph in 5.9 seconds. The now standard-fit Mode 3 cable means a full charge takes less than three hours from a wall box or public charging point, compared to 7.5 hours via a regular

Apple Carplay and Android Auto are now standard across the range, with 4G Wi-fi connection­s for up to eight devices, while a new embedded Spotify app gives Spotify Premium subscriber­s instant access to millions of tracks and podcasts directly through Touch Pro Duo without the need to synchronis­e a smartphone.
