Land Rover reveal new Range Rover Evoque Autobiogra­phy and Discovery Sport ranges

THE Range Rover Evoque is now even more sophistica­ted and digitally connected with the introducti­on of the new Autobiogra­phy. The flagship edition features distinctiv­e exterior design accents, a luxurious interior and a choice of new powerful and efficient mild-hybrid engines, including a plug-in-hybrid version for those after a more sustainabl­e, efficient SUV.

Following the launch of the P300e plug-in hybrid earlier this year, additional new engine options are now available for the Evoque. These include two updated, efficient next-generation four-cylinder Ingenium diesel engines both featuring Mild Hybrid Electric Vehicle (MHEV) technology. Using a belt-driven starter motor and battery pack, MHEV vehicles harvest energy normally lost under decelerati­on, feeding back to the vehicle’s 48 volt battery to boost the performanc­e and deliver enhanced fuel economy. With 163 hp and 197 hp, these engines are more powerful than the ones they replace while boasting better CO2 and fuel economy. A wide selection of additional petrol engines are also available with P200, P250 and P300 options, all fitted with MHEV technology.

Using the R-dynamic HSE model as a basis, the Autobiogra­phy is enhanced with the bumpers, lower trims and body sides from the Black Pack version. Distinctiv­e details include burnished copper accents and, for the first
