Welcome scent

Growing a highly fragranced climbing plant next to a window allows the early summer breeze to carry its scent into the home. Easily trained up house walls, English roses are delightfully perfumed climbers. Flowering with greater regularity and abundance than most, they produce blooms all the way from the top of the plant to the base. The meadowsweet and vanilla fragrance of the double flowers of rose ‘Claire Austin’ is particularly prized.
