Stitched wings

This beautiful small copper butterfly brooch is the work of Lisa Toppin, and was hand sewn using materials carefully selected from her extensive collection of fabrics. Larger than life-size with a wingspan of approximately 10cm, its colouring replicates the real thing. Working from her cottage in Fife, Scotland, Lisa is inspired by nature, her garden and vintage fabrics.
