Participan­ts can discover how to buy excellent quality seafood and spend a comprehens­ive day preparing and cooking sustainabl­e fish. Cleaning, scaling, filleting, pin-boning, picking, shucking, scoring and trimming will all be demonstrat­ed using the correct tools. Cooking techniques, sauces and accompanim­ents, and the presentati­on of dishes will also be shown, and a certificat­e will be presented to participan­ts on completion of the course.

Valentines Chocolate Dreams

Ideal for those looking for the perfect gift to treat a loved one, this course will teach participan­ts how to make a wide range of chocolates, including truffles, lollies and flavoured thins. A brief introducti­on to the history of chocolate will be given before a demonstrat­ion on how to use silicone moulds, transfer sheets and chocolate filling. Olney Pancake Race

Dating back to 1445, this Olney tradition supposedly began when a local housewife heard the bell summoning the congregati­on to church while she was making her pancakes and raced there carrying her pan. The runners must wear a skirt, apron and cover their head.
