The proof is in the eating

My brother and I baked the courgette, lemon and poppy seed cake, which I found in my mummy’s August magazine. We were not sure what it was going to taste like because of the courgettes and the poppy seeds, which we had never had before in a cake, but we ate it in the garden with our family, and it was delicious.
