Generous sponsors join forces to kit-out Lads and Dads football team

STAFFORDSHIRE Moorlands district councillors Geoff Bond and Christina Jebb joined forces to show their support for the Hollybush Lads and Dads Under13s team in Brown Edge by giving them a £200 grant from their Community Fund towards their new kit.

Barry Sargeant, who manages the team, said: “We have been able to get the boys a brand new kit thanks to the £200 received from our two district councillors, £100 from Trev and Chris at the Hollybush and £100 from one of the boys’ uncles. We would like to thank everyone for their kind donations.”

Councillor Christina Jebb said: “The Hollybush sponsored the embroidery for the new kit and it was good to work with everyone to provide this for the team.”

Councillor Geoff Bond added: “It’s great to see the team looking ready for this season. We are delighted to support the team and hope they will finish top of the league.”
