Kinsey nets treble for new boys Black Cock in away win

NEWCOMERS Black Cock are enjoying their first season in the league after being formed in the summer.

The team, based in Blythe Bridge, remain unbeaten after four games and chalked up their third win on Sunday over Red Lion Hartshill to set the early pace at the top of the PDSL/CITY Traders League Division Two.

Jack Kinsey was the goal hero for Black Cock, netting a hattrick, while there were singles from Daniel Conway and Will Hudson as they recorded a 5-2 win over Red Lion, who replied through Dale Townends and Bradley Stevenson.

Moorcroft United remain the only other unbeaten team in the Division, although they have played just the two games.

On Sunday they beat Fulford United 5-2, thanks to a hattrick from Florin Baisjel and two goals from Petriot Socacin, while Matt Walker and Chris Bevans scored for Fulford.

Windmill Werrington inflicted a first defeat of the season on Holditch Club. Goals from Simon Minshall, Joseph Hill and an own goal from Kieran Viggars set up a 3-1 victory, with Craig Bloor replying for Holditch.

Keele University picked up their first points of the season with a 5-2 win at Holditch United. Akoufe Hijazi (3), Sajeev Rajendran and Matthew Prattley scored for the university outfit, with Stephen Eccleston and Wayne Allert on the scoresheet for Holditch.

Into the Premier Division where Sneyd held on to their place at the top of the table with a 4-0 win at Loggerhead­s, having led 3-0 at the break.

Dean Smith, Nick Aitken, Donovan Mally and Shaun Rhodes were the scorers for Sneyd.

Staffordsh­ire Knot made it three wins out of three with a 5-0 thumping of Butchers Arms at Mill Hayes.

Kieran Knapper fired in a hat-trick, with Oli Putman scoring twice for Knot.

The Plough Bignall End and Adderley Green took a point apiece from their 2-2 draw.

Ash Humpage netted both goals for Bignall End, with James Beaman doing likewise for the Green.

Just one match went ahead in Division One and Chesterton AFC eased to three points with a 7-0 home win over Cheadle Town. Danny Meek helped himself to five of the goals, with Sam Arnold and Oliver Plant also scoring.

Three teams were involved in the first round of the Staffs FA Sunday Cup and all three made progress.

Knave FC were 5-1 winners over Swan Burslem from the Coors League. Ashley Kowarin bagged a hat-trick, with Dave Hughes and Ashley Thompson rounding off the scoring for Knave.

Luke Alcock and Jo Sargeant scored for Chesterton Grange in their 2-1 win over Stafford outfit Woodeaves, while Ashley Collier, Matt Hope and Ash Stanier earned Greenhoff’s a 3-0 win at Uttoxeter League side Tean Albion.

■ BRAMSHALL dropped their first points of the season in the UTTOXXTER AND DISTRICT SUNDAY LEAGUE Division Two when they were held to a 2-2 draw by Sudbury FC.

Adam Rowlinson and John Thacker scored for Bramshall, with Tom Mellor and Gab Sumnall on target for Sudbury.

Ian Johnson scored four times as Stone Town beat Stone Outlanes 8-0, withnathan Mills, Nick Wood, Jamie Porter and Chris Duffy also on target and James Ingram bagged a hat-trick as Doveridge beat Tuns FC 5-0.

Rob Collins scored three times in Bulls Head’s 7-5 win over Uttoxeter Town in Division One with Jimmy Mccarthy (2), Kyle Esplin and Rob Hepburn also scoring, while Jonathan Duckworth (2), Joe Parker (2) and Lewis Rand replied for Town.

Uttoxeter Dominoes (Dave Deakin) and JCB Lakeside (Matt Redshaw) drew 1-1.

Churnet Valley beat Bird in Hand 6-0 in the Staffs FA Sunday Cup, but Tean Albion and Cheadle Rovers were both knocked out of the competitio­n.

Tean lost 3-0 at home to Greenhoff’s, while Cheadle Rovers (Matt Davis) lost 2-1 to Strollers United.
