Stone OA produce a remarkable display

STONE Old Alleynians went goal crazy in their Staffs County Senior League Division Two clash against Huthman.

Stone were favourites to win on their visit to the division’s bottom club, but few would have envisaged them returning home with a 20-0 win.

Aaron Fahey scored five times, while there were four-timers from

Greg Large and Graham Peachman.

Jake Regan and Connor Smith both notched doubles among the other scorers.

Sam Revell bagged a hat-trick to help AFC Alsager Developmen­t to a 6-0 home victory over Whittingto­n Reserves.

Joshua Cox, Sam De Jesus and Mason Lunt completed the scoring for the hosts.

Matters were far closer in the meeting between City of Stoke Reserves and Blurton Reds.

Shane Reaney notched a brace for Blurton, but it was hosts City of Stoke who ran out 3-2 winners.

Jack Daniels netted twice, with Liam Cliffe scoring the other.

Tom Wheeldon’s double guided Cresswell Wanderers to a 2-1 win against Sikh Hunters.

Jerry Koomson replied, while Walsall Phoenix Reserves beat Stapenhill Swans 2-1.

In the Premier Division, Alsager Town won 1-0 at Brereton Social.

Joel Jones was the hero of the hour with the decisive strike to settle the destinatio­n of the points.

Buxton eased their way to a 5-0 home victory over Hanley Town.

Dillingham both scored twice, with Daniel Hopkins ensuring the home side went nap.

AFC Alsager edged a five-goal thriller on their visit to Silverdale Athletic.

Jordan Rigby, Lucas Baker and Daniel Ward were their marksmen, which meant that Joshua Davies’ brace meant little to Silverdale.

Wolstanton United and Redgate Clayton claimed a point apiece from a 0-0 draw.

In Division One, Rhys Thompson was in fine form in front of goal to inspire Milton United to a comfortabl­e success at Chesterton.

Thompson scored four times in a 6-1 win, with Liam Curley and Charlie Diskin following his lead.

David Farr grabbed a consolatio­n for Chesterton.

Wolstanton United won on the road at Audley Reserves.

Wolstanton’s second string had Michael Mackintosh (2) and Robert Boyd to thanks for their 3-1 win. James Platt netted for Audley.

Lichfield City Casuals thumped Hawkins Sports 8-1.

Reece ford led the way with a hat-trick, while Jake Allen scored twice.

Phillip Dunnett, Josh Glover-faulkner and Blake Archer completed the rout. Tom Galloway responded.

Madeley White Star made the most of home comforts to beat Redgate Clayton Reserves 6-0.
