POLICE are appealing for witnesses to help solve incidents across the Staffordsh­ire Moorlands.

Officers have received a report of a suspicious male on Church Terrace, Church Street, Kingsley. He was seen on a residentia­l driveway at approximat­ely 9.10pm on Sunday, October 31.

Residents are being asked to review home security and ensure sheds and outbuildin­gs are locked and alarmed where possible.

Police are appealing for witnesses after a residentia­l burglary on Church Street, Longnor.

The incident occurred between Thursday, October 29 and midday on Saturday, October 31.

A window had been forced and property stolen from within.

A garage was been broken into at 3.25pm Monday, November 2.

Two males were seen to enter the garage of a property on Caverswall Common, Caverswall.

They were then seen to come from the direction of Tickhill.

Sometime between 7pm on Wednesday, November 4, and 4.10pm on Thursday, November 5, a vehicle had its number plates taken while parked on a driveway around the Kent Road area of Endon.

Reports have been received of a suspicious vehicle in Stockton Brook.

The car was seen driving slowly around Stanley Road looking around vehicles and checking out driveways.

The vehicle is described as a Mercedes A Class with no colour given.

Criminal damage has been caused to a motor vehicle in Carriage Drive, Biddulph.

The incident took place between 11.30pm and midnight on Saturday, November 7.

An unknown offender approached a secure motor vehicle and poured white gloss all over it.

Officers have received reports of a scam where unknown people are hacking social media accounts and contacting people from the ‘friends list’.

During this conversati­on, the hacker mentions that they have received a large amount of money via the Postcode Lottery. Once they have gained some interest, they will send a link to the victim and tell them that they need to log in to create an account in order to receive the money.

The victim is asked to photograph the front and the back of their card and send the pictures via the social media messaging.
