AN outstanding trade for lambs with prices up to 251p/kg and plenty of pens over the 230p/kg to average at 222p/kg and £94/head overall. Many more required!! And also a fast trade for cull ewes up to £140/head.
A superb trade for Dairies once again leading at £2480 for a for a cow from the Braemarhouse Herd with numerous others over the £2000 mark.
Barrens continuing to sell on a solid trade, with Simmental cows to 141p/kg and 140p/kg. A mixed quality entry realised an average of 105p/kg. Similar story to the clean section, topping at 216p/kg and 214p/kg for two smart Limousin heifers.
Buyers galore for calves again this Tuesday, with a top of £390 for British Blue bull calves and Limousin heifers to £278.
Pigs were a little easier today with top prices of 132p/kg for bacon pigs and 128p/kg for cutters.

A strong trade for barren cattle this Tuesday with some quality meated sorts forward topping at 141p/kg for a 760kg Simmental with a 760kg Simmental at 140p/kg.
Black & white’s topped at 140p/kg for a 520kg Holstein and 138p/ kg for a 570kg Dairy Shorthorn from RD Kite & Son, Milwich.
Overall average of 105p/kg or £729.66
Top headage price of £1082.30, £1071.60 and £1064 for Simmentals and Holsteins to £1041.30.

A mixed entry in terms of quality but two smart Limousin heifers from Robert Belfield sold at 216p/kg for a 555kg heifer and 214p/kg for a 540kg heifer.
Other heifers topped at 188p/kg for a
555kg Simmental with 178p/kg for a 525kg
Simmental heifer from J Greatbatch, Wetley rocks and 178p/kg for a 515kg British Blue heifer.
Young bulls topped at 194p/kg for a neat 545kg Limousin bull from Chris Barnsley, Morridge with black & white handy weight bulls at 168p/kg and 167p/kg from JE Archer & Sons, Hilton.
Two Hereford steers realised 160p/kg for a 560kg steer and 150p/ kg for a 560kg steer, both from Roy Sant, Longsdon.
Top headage price of £1198.80 and £1155.60 for Limousin heifers, and £1057.30 for the Limousin bull.

Another blistering trade for dairies saw all qualities sell exceptionally well with almost 50% of the commercial entry selling in excess of £1700.

Trade a little easier on the week, but still continue to sell well.
Pork pigs sold to 111p/kg for 74kg pigs from J & B Fentem, Alsop en le Dale.
Cutting pigs topped at 128p/kg for a 80kg pig from J & B
Fentem, who also sold 81.5kg pigs at 100p/ kg and a 84kg pig at 100p/kg from Bernard Minshull, Buxton and 98p/kg for 85kg pigs from JW Bailey, Cloudside.
Bacon pigs sold to 132p/kg for a 96kg pig from PF & PD Parsons, who also sold 100kg pigs at 128p/kg and 90kg pigs at 126p/kg.
