Awards hat-trick for building society

-

A STAFFORDSHIRE Moorlands building society has scooped a hat-trick at a national awards ceremony.

Leek United has been voted as one of the top variable rate mortgage lenders for the third year running.

The building society was named Best Variable Rate Mortgage Lender in the annual Personal Finance Awards.

Now in their 23rd year, The Personal Finance Awards are voted for by customers and act as a benchmark for excellence for the UK’S consumer finance industry.

Andy Armitage, director of customer services for Leek United, said: “We’re really proud to have been recognised by our customers once again, and to win this award for three years running is an exceptional achievement.

“We always put our members first in everything we do, and this award, which proves that the products we provide are some of the best in the industry, is a reward for that approach.

“While our customers know they can depend on us, we never take their support for granted and I’d like to thank them for once again voting for us in these awards.”

The award comes just weeks after Leek United was shortlisted for another national mortgage award.

In October, they were among those nominated for the First-time Mortgage Buyers’ Choice award in the annual Moneyfacts Consumer Awards.

Earlier this year, it was also awarded highly commended in the Best Regional Building Society category and won the Best Variable Rate Mortgage Lender title at the What Mortgage Awards.
