Leek Post & Times

Sergeant Alex Gould

-

I HOPE everyone had a good New Year and that 2021 starts to return us to some normality after the difficulties of 2020.

Covid is still here and has impacted us all, many of us have known people who has suffered from the disease, with some losing a friend or relative.

The vaccine is now being rolled out and this will hopefully allow normal life to return sooner rather than later.

As I write this we are currently in the grip of some very cold weather. If you are defrosting your car in the morning please do not leave it running and unattended.

We have also suffered with flooding in the Moorlands, I am sure we will have more of this in the coming weeks and months.

If you do see a flood, please report it and do not attempt to drive through it.

We also have welcomed some new officers to Leek. PCS Mountford, Cubley and Moss have joined our ranks and I’m sure you will give them a warm welcome. They are all new in the role and will gain valuable experience working from Leek. If you see them on patrol, please say hello.

As we move into Spring the beautiful Moorlands beauty spots can often be busy with visitors, if you do visit please park in designated parking areas, use bins or take your litter home and do not use barbecues where stated.

To keep up to date with Moorlands Police news please follow us on Twitter and Facebook where we share news and information. You can also report incidents and crime through these portals via direct messages.
