Plea to complete questionnaire on future of town

A QUESTIONNAIRE has been set up to ask the people of Cheadle their thoughts on the future for the town.

Team Cheadle have set up the questionnaire via Facebook, but for those people who don’t use the social media app, the direct link is https://forms.gle/5wcmuoqatnfdbnfd6

The results will be presented to the Staffordshire Moorlands District Council cabinet and to the consultants the council is using for the town centre project.

A spokesman for Team Cheadle said: “The proposals put forward by SMDC as part of the ‘Cheadle Town Projects’ could have a major impact on Cheadle, and the surrounding towns and villages.

“We, as members of the community, tourism and residents sub-group (stakeholder panel) have created a questionnaire to obtain your ideas and thoughts about your town and its future.

“It is vital we collect as many responses as possible to obtain a true picture of what you all think.

“The results collated via the Team Cheadle website will also be shared with cabinet members, stakeholder panel members and consultants working on behalf of SMDC, who will present their town centre options in a formal consultation later this year.

“If you complete the questionnaire and give us permission, we will also email the results to you.

“We realise the questionnaire is quite long and will take around 15 minutes to complete, but your answers are important and may well help to shape the future of Cheadle, so please take some time out to fill in the questions.

“Please fill it in and pass it on to friends and family, as well as any local groups you’re a part of.

“We want to reach as many people as possible.

“We will also be making the results public, other than personal details.”
