ENDON are second in the NSSCL Division One table after a 10 wicket win over Little Stoke.

Endon bowled out ther hosts for just 72 at Uttoxeter Road.

Tim Twigg made 29, but Ross Dearden’s 4-10 and 3-22 from Harvey Ault proved to be the decisive performances early in the piece.

Endon needed just 11.5 overs to knock off the runs as Jordan Weaver slammed three fours and four sixes in an unbeaten 47.

Eccleshall had a comfortable win on their visit to Blythe.

Fida Hussain and Matt Thomas made 42 apiece in Eccleshall’s 198-5 from a rain-reduced 30 overs.

Scott Winnington (27), Myles Coughlan (23) and Ahsan Tariq (24) also impressed.

Michael Dale’s 25, plus 21 apiece from Tom Lowe and Ben Smith were the highlights of the Blythe reply, but they were well adrift on 109-7 at the close.

Cameron Sinclair, Ben Thomas and Coughlan all took two wickets.

Former Warwickshire paceman Recordo Gordon produced a devastating spell of seam bowling to earn Audley victory over Knypersley.

Knypersley had been set a revised target of 157 from 25 overs at Kent Hills - and appeared to be on course for the points.

Louis Washington’s 51, plus 43 from Sam Wilcox, led them to 103-1, but then Gordon intervened to spark a dramatic collapse.

Gordon claimed 5-10 to send Knypersley sliding to 126 all out with three balls of their innings remaining.

John Shenton also played his part with 3-28 to keep Audley in the upper echelons of the early standings.

Gordon had also proved his worth with the bat with an unbeaten 48, which featured four sixes.

He shared an unbroken partnership of 110 for the sixth wicket with captain Rob Hemmings as Audley posted 218-5 from their 40 overs.

Hemmings finished unbeaten on 67, hitting seven fours and two sixes, while there were handy contributions from Jack Redman (36) and Richard Holloway (25).

Danny Baker took two wickets for Knypersley, but after a bright start, they couldn’t see the job through as they chased their revised target.

Elworth remain clear at the summit after securing a fourth successive win with a tense success at Leycett.

In a match reduced to 22 overs per side because of the weather, Elworth posted 138-8 from their allocation.

Ash Rogers top-scored with 35, with Chris Regan (23), Ed Parrish (20) and Steve Morgan (19) all chipping in to good effect.

Matt Johnson (4-19) was the pick of the Leycett attack.

Their reply started promisingly enough as David Speakman and Dan Redfern contributed 46 and 38 respectively.

However, Rogers’ 3-14, allied to doubles from Ben Holt and James Holt, left Leycett on 132-9 when time was called.

Newcastle & Hartshill banked their first victory of the season at Wood Lane. Castle struggled early on and found themselves 24-3, but a fourth-wicket partnership of 108 between Asif Raza and Billy Heeks redressed the balance.

Raza made 78, featuring eight fours and one six, while Heeks hit 50 - containing four fours and one maximum - in a gamedefining stand.

Rich Hagan then ensured the momentum stayed with Castle as he plundered a rapid 48 late in the day to guide the visitors to 205-7 from 40 overs.

Robert Price and Ashley Guest both finished with 3-45.

The rain revised Wood Lane’s target to 162 from 33 overs, but they never looked like overhauling it.

Omar Ali struck 38, but they were dismissed for 105 as Mohammad Abid captured 4-8 and Hagan’s fine day concluded with 3-33 to inflict a fourth straight defeat on Wood Lane.

Hem Heath won at home against Sandyford.

Hem Heath were bowled out for 108 after 24 of their 25 overs, thanks to Craig Leese’s 3-16 and two victims each for Yasir Ali, Muhammad Naveed and Neil Skillcorn.

Greg Prime (27) and Nazakat Ali (23) made the most headway with the bat for Hem Heath.

Sandyford were 64-6 when the weather had the final say, leaving them behind the required rate for victory.

Former Scotland spinner Majid Haq scooped 3-8 for Hem Heath, while Ryan Davis top-scored with 16 for Sandyford.
