Totally Locally Fiver Fest offers goods for just £5

A TOTALLY Locally Fiver Fest is coming to Leek.

The event will run between Saturday, June 12 and Saturday, June 26.

During the event there will be loads of amazing £5 special offers from Leek Independent shops and businesses.

The town will see more than 20 businesses taking part with 22 amazing £5 offers.

A spokeswoman said: “Shop local and independent and help to make your town a better place.

“Fiver Fest offer is something discounted from a usual price of at least £7/£8 down to £5 for the duration of the event. It’s all about getting a great bargain for a fiver.

“It is designed for Leek independent businesses to showcase their business to the local community to encourage them to get involved and through the shop doors to show customers what each business does and sells.

“All the businesses that are taking part have Covid-19 practices in place to keep shoppers feeling safe and comfortable during these unprecedented times.

The Totally Locally website said: “This June. Fiver Fest is the chance for independent businesses to use their collective power to encourage people back to our town centres, to say thank you to customers who supported them during lockdown and to prove once again, that the small guys can compete with the online giants and the supermarkets. In fact they beat them hands down in many ways, but most of all their contribution to our local economies.

“Businesses taking part put on special £5 offers over two weeks, to show the diversity and value of what they sell, and to say thank you to the communities that support them.

“It comes from the (now famous) Totally Locally £5 message showing the huge impact of people spending just £5 per week in their local independent shops can have on our High Streets.”

Totally Locally now have an updated Leek Map of Hidden Gems. Twenty eight new businesses feature on the map of Leek loveliness.
