Tributes to 24-year-old killed in road collision
THE heartbroken family of a man who died after being struck by a car have paid tribute to the ‘extremely kind and caring’ 24-year-old.
Emergency services were called to Sandbach Road, Rode Heath, on May 6 following reports of a collision.
Police said there had been a collision between a black Ford Fiesta Zetec and a pedestrian, who was pronounced dead at the scene. Now the force has named him as
Ryan Watson, of Rode Heath, as his family and friends lead the poignant tributes.
Relatives say Ryan, originally from Cheadle, was the ‘life and soul’ of everything they did, while his grieving friends say they were honoured to have known him.
Meanwhile, police are continuing to appeal for witnesses to come forward as an investigation into the fatal collision continues.
In tribute, his family said: “Ryan was the light of all our lives and we will forever miss him.
“He was an extremely kind and caring individual who loved his family and friends.
“Ryan was the life and soul of everything he did. He was passionate about his job, which allowed him to help and care for others. Ryan will forever be in our hearts and never be forgotten.
“We offer extended thanks to all the emergency services and any kind person that tried to help our angel, Ryan. He has taken flight into his next journey. We will see you again soon.”
Ryan’s friends also paid tribute. They said: “We miss Ryan dearly and we are honoured to have called him our best friend.
“A friend taken from life too soon is nothing but a tragedy. His death affects everyone who knew and loved him. We will honour his legacy and remember him always.
“With all the love in the world we miss you Ry. Your best mates, Aaron, Connor, Rory, Liam, Shane & Sully.”
Following the incident, a 22-yearold local woman was arrested and has since been released on conditional bail. Anyone with information is asked to contact the force on 101 and quote IML 1263874.
