Revved up about horror flicks

-

A DRIVE-in cinema event, which promises to be the “ultimate horror film experience”, is coming to Leicestershire.

The Big Scream will take place at Market Harborough Showground on Friday, October 30 and Saturday, October 31.

Film fans will be able to watch the 1984 horror flick A Nightmare on Elm Street on the Friday night, and 2017 horror film IT on the Saturday. Both film showings will be complete with live scare actors, to ensure the Hallowe’en experience is truly frightening.

The Big Scream is suitable for those aged 16 and over only, and tickets cost from £15 per person (plus £1 booking fee). If you’d like to upgrade to a VIP ticket, you can do so for an extra £3. It puts you in the new VIP circle, closer to the screen.

Organisers Fleckney Group are also putting on a family-friendly cinema event - Musical Maestros.

This will take place from Friday, October 23 to Wednesday, October 28.

On the Friday, there will be an evening showing of Jersey Boys, then on the Saturday, West Side Story will be shown in the afternoon, with Phantom of the Opera in the evening.

On the Sunday, you can watch The Wizard of Oz in the afternoon, or Les Misérables in the evening.

Prices for these films are £11 adults, £9 children (plus £1 booking fee).

On Monday, October 26, The Greatest Showman will be shown, Wallace and Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit on Tuesday and The Nightmare Before Christmas on Wednesday. All are evening screenings.
