Have some Faith, singer Paloma is visiting city
ECCENTRIC retro popstar Paloma Faith will be bringing her show to Leicester next year.
The singer, who revealed last week she is expecting her second child, is scheduled to tour the UK in 2021.
And the dates include De Montfort Hall in October, to showcase her new album Infinite Things, which is set to be released on November 13 this year.
Paloma is known for her distinctive voice and songs which include Changing, Lullaby, New York and Only Love Can Hurt Like This.
The album was written before the Covid-19 pandemic. However, when the UK went into lockdown Paloma tore up all of the songs and decided to start all over again.
Lockdown gave her the opportunity to spend the time creating, learning to engineer her own music and just thinking about the world.
The result, she says, is a new sense of priorities which has seen her reconnect with her roots.
Infinite Things is said to be more than an album about relationships and is her most confident record as of yet. It’s described as “finding your way back to romance within a longterm relationship. It’s her most confident record yet from a female artist who’s been in the game for two decades. Leicestershire.
“It’s a new Paloma Faith, an artist who has retreated within herself and found not the careful, polished veteran of showbusiness – but the 22-year-old art student being led by her own creativity.”
Tickets for the tour go on pre-sale on September 30 and general sale on October 2 at 10am.
