All round to Andrew’s for the football!
TODAY we feature “Can I Get SKY On This?” by Andrew Kirkby, the latest image in a new series featuring a county photographic club’s annual exhibition.
This year, due to the pandemic, The Leicester Forest Photographic Society (LFPS) has gone online with its display, but over the next fortnight the Mercury will be highlighting some of its work.
The LFPS Virtual exhibition is open online and will remain so until October 31.
The exhibition is believed to be Leicester’s first 3D virtual reality public photography exhibition.
Visitors can explore the rooms independently or be guided around the exhibition.
The exhibition is free and can be found at. lfps.org.uk The exhibition includes more than 70 prints from members of the society.
The group includes photographers working to the highest standards. Earlier this year the club won the Midland PAGB photographic print final.
“We pride ourselves in having a diverse membership of all abilities who benefit greatly from the wide range of activities that we organise,” said member Robb Doyle. The group normally meets on Monday and Thursday evenings at Braunstone Civic Centre but, for the foreseeable future, meetings are via Zoom.
Potential new members are welcome to join two meetings free to sample the evenings. The subscription for full online membership is £30 per year.
