Restaurant with world street food set to open

A RESTAURANT serving street food from around the globe is opening soon in Lutterworth.

Market Street Kitchen is being launched by the team behind The White Swan at Shawell.

The popular gastropub was awarded a second AA rosette earlier this year, and last year was named as one of Leicestershire’s top three pubs in the AA Pub Guide.

Now, the team led by chef patron Rory McClean is set to provide a different kind of dining experience at Market Street Kitchen.

The new venue is set to open on Saturday, November 14.

Market Street Kitchen will offer a wide selection of street food dishes from around the world, available as small plates and large plates – all of which are intended to be shared.

The cocktail menu will offer a spin on some familiar favourites and a few in-house designed options. There will also be craft beers sourced, where possible, from local or smaller breweries.

Downstairs, food and drinks will be available on a QR code/online ordering only basis, while the main dining space upstairs will offer full table service.

The restaurant is set to open from 5pm to 10pm (last orders 9pm) Wednesday to Sunday. There will also be a brunch menu from 10am to 2pm (last orders 1.30pm) on Saturday and Sunday.

During weekdays, a section of the site will be open for takeaway coffee and deli-style food offerings.

This will be called MSK On The Side and have its own door.

It will be open from 10am to 2pm.

The MSK On The Side room in the evenings and weekends will then become a space where diners are greeted by a host, and where there will be a socially-distanced waiting space.
