DJ Tony Blackburn was had no time to waste when it came to making his early morning BBC Radio One show. The the 22-year-old had his alarm set to 5am to wake up him and he would get a phone call from the production team saying: “Wakey wakey Tony love, time to go to work.”

Laurence Olivier made a filmed on-screen appearance in it.
