Mysterious customer paying for strangers

-

A MYSTERY woman is paying for strangers’ meals at a McDonald’s restaurant.

A 23-year-old trainee accountant said she had her £12 bill picked up by the woman at the drive-through in Melton last Wednesday.

Alice Hack, who lives in the town, said: “I was getting a meal for myself and my mum at 5pm.

“I ordered the meal then got to the window where you pay.

“I was about to pay when the server said: ‘No need to pay. The woman in the car in front has paid your bill.’

“I could not believe it at first. I looked but the car had already gone.

“I have absolutely no idea who this woman is but she is a legend.

“It is lovely to be the lucky person who gets a random act of kindness like this.”

Alice posted on Facebook about her experience and other people said a woman had paid for their meals at the restaurant.

One suggested the same woman had paid for at least four people’s meals on different occasions.

Michael Bugby said a woman paid for his £16 meal last week at the same drive-through.

“I and my partner Sarah went for a cheeky McDonald’s breakfast after the school run and ordered,” he said.

“When we got to the window to pay, the chap said the woman in the car in front had paid for our meal.

“It’s amazing. I didn’t think people did that sort of thing these days.

“We think it is the same woman who keeps doing this. It’s very generous.”

A shift manager at the McDonald’s in Melton said: “We have seen the messages on Facebook about this mystery woman.

“It is such a nice thing to do.”
