Riders teaming up with constructi­on firm

LEICESTER Riders have teamed up with Glencar Constructi­on for their Sky Sports game against Bristol Flyers at Morningsid­e Arena on Friday.

It will be the the first time Riders have featured on Sky Sports this season and the building contractor has been announced as an official game night sponsor.

Glencar managing director Eddie McGillycud­dy said: “The Leicester Riders young player pathway and community developmen­t programme has contribute­d massively, not only to the success of the team on the court, but also off the court in terms of providing young people with opportunit­ies to grow, develop and be part of a success story.

“Basketball is an integral part of community sport and actually one of most played sports in the UK amongst young people.”

Glencar Constructi­on is a contractor specialisi­ng in the creation of high quality turnkey facilities in partnershi­p with some of the UK’s leading developers, occupiers, retailers and logistics businesses. Coverage of the BBL Championsh­ip game on Friday begins at 7pm with the game tipping off at 7.30pm.

Sky Sports will also be covering Leicester Riders on Friday, February 26 when they host Worcester Wolves in the BBL Championsh­ip.
