Award celebrates lifetime dedicated to helping others
A CARE professional who has dedicated their life to helping others will be celebrated with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the forthcoming LeicestershireLive Care Professional of the Year Awards.
A special individual who has spent their career honing their craft as a truly exceptional care professional will be celebrated at the awards ceremony, scheduled to take place on January 28.
Nominations are open and we want you to tell us who should win in 11 of our 12 categories, from Palliative Carer of the Year to Best Newcomer to Care.
The final award – the LeicestershireLive Care Professional of the Year 2020 – will be chosen by our judges from the winners of the other categories.
Enable Inclusive Support is sponsoring the Lifetime Achievement Award for the third year in a row.
Ash Omar and Tracy Males, directors of Enable, explained why they are backing this category.
Ash said: “Since 2018 we have been honoured to present the Lifetime Achievement Award to two very deserving individuals and are once again looking forward to congratulating the 2020 winner.
“As you can imagine it is a fantastic category to award, but a very difficult one to judge.
“There are so many admirable nominees all of whom deserve credit for their unique contributions to the social care sector or the impact they have had with their families by caring for their loved ones.”
Tracy said: “As an organisation, we are so proud to be involved in such a fantastic celebratory event and to shine a light on a sector that has done so much in an exceptionally difficult year.
“We would like to personally thank everyone who has gone the extra mile to make a difference in people’s lives.”
Nominations for the awards are open and you have until Monday, January 4 to nominate an inspirational care professional.
Whether you have received fantastic care from an exceptional person, or you work with one, your nominations matter.
Three finalists will be shortlisted within each category by a judging panel, with the winners announced at a virtual ceremony, to be streamed by LeicestershireLive on Thursday, January 28.
The live event, which is scheduled to take place at 7pm, will feature special guests and prize giveaways.
