A GEORGIAN building will reopen in the new year as a beauty and wellness retreat following a £500,000 investment.

The Beauty Temple Retreat, in Castle Donington, will be the sixth East Midlands salon to be opened by Lucy and Martin Goodwin since launching their flagship branch in Nottingham city centre in 2006.

Their other Beauty Temple salons are in Mapperley, West Bridgford, Loughborough and Diseworth.

With the Castle Donington branch they said they wanted to bring something different to the area in the form of a luxury day retreat.

Located in Market Street, the business is split over four levels and offers body and beauty treatments, yoga classes and holistic treatments.

The attached Blossom Cafe is open to the public for breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea as well as takeaway hot drinks.

There is also a bar and separate dining area as well as a gift shop and a social area where special events, such as yoga retreats, will be held.

The premises will also be home to a training academy offering beauty courses.

Lucy said: “We are so excited to finally be opening The Beauty

Temple Retreat – it has been such a year for us in the beauty industry and after all the setbacks and closures we are all looking forward to opening the doors to something new.

“This expansion is different from our other salons and I’m confident that guests will leave feeling relaxed and pampered, whether that is from treating themselves to a day at the retreat, taking part in a yoga class or just from popping in to our cafe to enjoy a spare half hour.”
