CASES ARE RISING: HERE IS WHERE
LATEST coronavirus infection figures have been released for towns and villages across Leicestershire.
Analysis of Public Health England data shows there were 1,732 new cases across Leicestershire in the week to December 23 – an increase of 450 on the seven-day period before that.
The statistics show the greatest number of cases in areas on the edge of Leicester, including Oadby and
Thurmaston. A total of 44 more coronavirus deaths were confirmed at Leicester hospitals over Christmas week.
The following, broken down into areas with an average population of 7,000. It shows the number of new cases in the week to December 23 and in brackets the figure for the week before.
