Justin gets help from his big rival

-

LEICESTER City full-back James Justin has revealed how his Leicester City team-mates have helped in his rapid rise at the club, writes Amie Wilson.

The defender has arguably been one of the Foxes’ best players this season, playing every single minute of Premier League action so far.

Justin also scored a stunning opening goal in the 4-0 FA Cup win over Stoke City last week.

The 22-year-old has been given his chance to shine due to a longterm knee injury to right-back Ricardo Pereira, who hasn’t played in the Premier League since March.

It’s a chance Justin has taken with both hands, giving boss Brendan Rodgers a selection dilemma now that Ricardo is back to fitness and available for selection.

But Justin has credited Ricardo with one of the three Leicester players to help most with his development.

“Ricky is one of the best full-backs in the world and when he’s playing he’s amazing to watch. He’s helped me so much, just by watching him train and play,” he told the Daily Telegraph.

“I’ve picked up certain things off him and Ben Chilwell to add to my game. Youri [Tielemans] has been a big influence too – he’s got the mind of a 35-year-old and he knows everything about football.”

One of Justin’s strengths is his versatility, and he has even suggested two other positions that Rodgers could play him.

“Maybe I can play in midfield in the future when my legs go!” he said.

“I’d give goalkeeper a good shot but I might struggle because of my height.”
