Jewellery store to get luxury revamp
HIGHCROSS jewellery store Goldsmiths is to undergo a big refurbishment later this year, as the retailer creates what it describes as “a luxurious new store concept.”
The luxury watch and jewellery retailer, which is part of the Watches of Switzerland Group, has announced plans to further elevate its market position and enhance its network of stores throughout the UK.
As part of this, it will be rolling out its new luxury store concept in major retail destinations, including Leicester, from autumn 2021.
According to Goldsmiths, it will be focused on luxury watch brands such as Rolex and Cartier, supported by a market-leading in-store client hospitality experience.
The store concept, which has been created in partnership with design collective Quadrant Design, will initially be rolled out in stores in Leicester, Manchester’s Trafford Centre, Cribbs Causeway in Bristol, Meadowhall in Sheffield, Canterbury and Reading.
Each will have dedicated areas for brands such as Rolex, Omega, Cartier, Tag Heuer, Breitling, Tudor, IWC, Hublot and Panerai.
As well as watches, there will be jewellery from FOPE, Messika, Gucci, Jenny Packham and Goldsmiths sister brand Mappin & Webb.
Craig Bolton, executive director of the Watches of Switzerland Group, said: “This is a significant milestone for Goldsmiths.
“Luxury has become far more relaxed, inclusive and experiential, so while we are elevating the Goldsmiths brand position, our goal is to make our valued clients feel at home while visiting our stores.”
