Tielemans’ defensive work shouldn’t go unnoticed too, with vital challenges and knowing when to stop dangerous counter attacks.

Despite only being 23, the midfielder also acts as a leader on the pitch, talking his team-mates through the game and could be a future captain.

DENNIS PRAET – 7/10

The midfielder was setting into life in the Premier League before injury disrupted his season, with the 26-year-old missing three months of the campaign with a hamstring problem.

He made his comeback as a second-half substitute in the FA Cup win over Manchester United on Sunday and could be a crucial player for the closing stages of the season.

MARC ALBRIGHTON – 7.5/10

Mr Reliable, although he’s not always a regular starter under Brendan Rodgers.

But whenever Albrighton plays you know that he’ll always give 100 per cent effort.

Being deployed in either the right wing-back position or on the wing, the 31-year-old has had a solid season so far.

The area of his game that was identified as needing improvement was his goalscoring, with Rodgers wanting the academy graduate to boost his scoring this season.

Barnes sits second in Leicester’s goalscoring charts this season, finding the net 13 times in all competitions, behind only Jamie Vardy.

His speed has always caused defenders problems, but he is increasingly adding an end product.

The winger was pushing for a place in Gareth Southgate’s England squad before suffering an injury that will keep him out for at least six weeks.

Maddison is another player whose season has been disrupted by injury.

It took the midfielder the first few games of the season to regain full match fitness, and he has missed the last four league games due a recurrence of a hip problem.

At his best, Maddison causes problems for defenders operating inbetween the defensive and midfield lines and being the main creative force for the team.

City struggled to find the same creativeness without him until the switch in formation.

CENGIZ UNDER – 5.5/10

The on-loan winger has struggled to impress in his first Premier League season, and it remains to be seen whether City will take up the option of making his move permanent.

Under has started just one league game, and has had to settle with appearances from the bench.

The Turkish international has shown glimpses of what he can do, most notably with his assists for Jamie Vardy in the away wins over Arsenal and Leeds, and his goal against AEK Athens in the Europa League.

But he has failed to adapt to the intensity of English football.

AYOZE PEREZ – 7/10

Perez has been deployed in both the right of a front three and in the number 10 position, and tends to have a bigger impact when operating in the middle behind Jamie Vardy.

The Spaniard can be hit or miss, but has generally had a good season providing creativity and trickery in the attacking areas.

KELECHI IHEANACHO – 7.5/10
