The 24-year-old has enjoyed operating alongside Jamie Vardy, which allows him to come deeper and retrieve the ball to start off attacks.

The striker started the season in brilliant goalscoring form as he looked to defend his golden boot, but has scored just one league goal since the turn of the year.

His season was disrupted when he underwent minor groin surgery, causing him to miss three matches, and it has taken him a while to get back up to speed again.

But even in his current drought he remains effective, helping to set up three goals in the 5-0 win over Sheffield United.

YOURI Tielemans has been named Leicester City’s most valuable player by a new study, writes Mark Whiley.

CIES Football Observatory has developed an algorithm to assess the transfer value of football players on a scientific basis.

It names Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford and Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Haaland (both £130m-£172m) as the world’s most expensive players.

However, there is a marked difference between the players’ value to their respective clubs.

According to the study, Haaland makes up 21.5 per cent of Dortmund’s squad value, compared to 14.8 per cent for Rashford at Man United.

Tielemans (14.1 per cent) has been rated in the £60m-70m price range along with Everton’s Richarlison (14.8 per cent, Wolves’ Pedro Neto (19.7 per cent) and Real Madrid’s Vinícius Júnior (9.8 per cent).a

LEICESTER City’s Under-18s knocked Exeter out of the FA Youth Cup in extra time after a valiant effort from the home side against the young Premier League hopefuls, writes Andy Turner.

After a goalless 90 minutes, City’s Wanya Madivadua broke the deadlock in the 98th minute, only for Exeter to rally and Michael Lilley to lash home minutes later.

But Kian Pennant was left unmarked to head home in the second half of extra time and the Foxes held on to secure the 2-1 win.

It ended the Grecians’ youngsters dream of reaching round five for the first time in their history.
