TV PRESENTERS DONATE ITEMS TO AUCTION FOR HOSPICE

- By STAFF REPORTER loros.co.uk/a-list-auction

EAST Midlands Today presenter Anne Davies has donated more than 400 items of clothing to be sold for Loros hospice.

They are to form part of an online auction on eBay and Depop alongside donations from other celebrities, including Lorraine Kelly.

The clothing and accessories include brands such as Moschino, LK Bennett and Max Mara.

Gary McMillan-Dale, retail manager at Loros, said: “We’re extremely grateful for the generosity shown by Anne and the other celebrities during what has been a really difficult time for us.

“Due to the third national lockdown, all of our shops have again been forced to close and we are struggling to raise funds.

“Until we are able to open, we are relying solely on online income and Anne’s generous donation will certainly help give us a boost.”

Anne, who has been a patron at the hospice since 2015, said: “I’ve always tried to support Loros in any way I can and it’s great I’m now able to do this through my love of fashion.

“I’ve absolutely adored wearing every single item I’ve donated to Loros, some of which have been worn on very special occasions.

“I’ve been lucky that I’ve still had to go into work throughout the pandemic really, because having to dress for work each day has definitely lifted my mood.

“I’m a real believer in the power of clothes, and I’d encourage everyone to take a look as you never know what you might find that will make you feel a million dollars at home, and be ready, hanging in the wardrobe for the moment we’re allowed back into the world!”

The A-Listed Auction will go live at 4pm on April 9.
