Dewsbury-Hall plans to have ‘serious chats’ about his future
LEICESTER City midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall would consider returning to Luton Town next season – if there was no place for him in the first-team squad at the King Power Stadium.
The City academy graduate has said he will have “serious chats with lots of people” over his future during the summer after an excellent loan spell with the Hatters.
Dewsbury-Hall has proven to be one of the best progressive midfielders at Championship level despite his inexperience in the senior game.
He’s also become a firm favourite at Kenilworth Road, winning player of the month three times in a row between November and January.
City value him highly – handing him a contract until 2024 before loaning him to Luton – and there could be a place for him in Brendan Rodgers’ squad next season, particularly with the manager’s plan to make the club’s midfield more forwardthinking.
Dewsbury-Hall, right, has spoken previously of wanting to follow Harvey Barnes’ path by turning impressive Championship displays into
Premier League opportunities. But the 22-year-old has now said if that opportunity is not available, he would be keen on turning out for the Hatters again.
“Luton’s been fantastic and I’ve said that,” Dewsbury-Hall told Luton Today when asked whether he’d consider a return if there was no firstteam place for him at City.
“I’m not going to have a bad word to say about it.
“If next season Luton were interested again it’s something that I would definitely take seriously, because I feel like I’ve improved as a player here and it’s been good for my development and my career.
“I’m going to take the rest of the season as it comes, try and finish as positive as possible.
“Then if and when it comes to it at the start of next season, for whatever reason, I’ll definitely sit down and take a serious chat with a lot of people and see what’s going to happen for me.”
