POLICE HAVE BEEN SEARCHING FOR YAHAYE AFTER TWO TEENAGERS STABBED IN 2019
A MAN who may be responsible for a serious assault over two years ago has still not been located by police.
Yahaye Ashker, 25, is wanted by the force following an attack on two men on July 15, 2019.
During the incident, two 19-yearold men were stabbed in Tinseltown American-style diner, in Upper Brown Street, Leicester.
They were both taken to hospital one to Leicester Royal Infirmary and the other to the Queen’s Medical Centre, in Nottingham.
After being treated for stab wounds at the time, an investigating officer said the pair were lucky the injuries were not worse.
A police statement issued on July 16, 2019, said officers were called to the scene at 11.10pm, following reports of a fight at the restaurant.
The suspects had left the scene before emergency services arrived, a force spokesman said at the time.
Officers suspect Yahaye Ashker carried out the assault and have been carrying out numerous inquiries since the incident to locate him.
But to this day, the man has still not been found, leaving officers unable to question him.
