It’s goodbye to the excruciating video format and a welcome return to all the glamour of in-person red carpet events.

Broadcast from Los Angeles, hosted by comedian Cedric the Entertainer, above, this will be a star-studded event as the ceremony celebrates the best in the year’s television.

The Apple TV+ feelgood comedy Ted Lasso, starring Jason Sudeikis, is the most-nominated series with a record breaking 20 nominations.

Also heavily featured are Netflix’s The Crown and The Queen’s Gambit, Disney+ offerings Hamilton and WandaVision, as well as Kate Winslet’s HBO drama Mare of Easttown. Tune in to find out who gives the long speeches and who has the best gracious loser face…

You might not be keen to get on a plane for a while after watching the first ten minutes of this high-octane US thriller.

Tense from the off, the opening episode follows Maddie (Rebecca Liddiard) as she misses her scheduled flight to reunite with her fiance, so boards the fateful British Global Air Flight 716.

There’s no long build up here, it’s all fast and furious as the warning signs begin. The pilot seems distracted, an overhead locker pops open and a little girl clutches her teddy... then the captain locks the first officer out of the cockpit and recklessly takes control of the aircraft, which then partly explodes.

Back in London, air crash investigator Kendra Malley (Archie Panjabi), above, is called in to find the plane and see if any of its passengers survived.
