Family-run agency has shut due to lack of staff

A FAMILY estate agents appears to have closed its sales business.

Vincent’s Estate Agents, in Edward Avenue, Braunstone Town, is not taking any new business but has vowed to ensure ongoing sales will be completed.

Anyone calling the office will hear a message that the business is closed and anyone with unfinished sales should email them, rather than leave a message.

The message says: “Hello, you’ve reached Vincent’s Estate Agents. Unfortunately, we’ve decided to close the sales part of the business.

“We apologise for this situation. Unfortunately, we lost a couple of members of staff...um... it’s just not tenable, I’m afraid.

“We’ve enjoyed being your estate agents and working with you.

“Rest assured anyone whose sales have not been completed, I’ll still make sure they’re complete. But I just don’t want any more business, I’m afraid. “Thanks, take care and... yeah.” One member of the public contacted the Mercury saying her elderly neighbour had been surprised to find the office shut when inquiring about an ongoing sale.

She said: “My elderly neighbour only found out when she tried to contact them to see when her agreed sale was going to happen.

“She got no response from the office number so her son went to them and discovered that they had gone.

“He tracked down the head office – just a house – where the gentleman, Mr Vincent, was.

“Her son was able to retrieve her keys, but remains concerned that others are unaware of the closure of this firm.”
