Record number of new recruits at business adviser

BUSINESS advisory firm PwC has welcomed 29 graduates, higher apprentice­s and school leavers to its East Midlands office in Castle Donington.

This year’s autumn intake also includes 152 recruits at PwC’s Birmingham office and 25 in Milton Keynes, totalling a record 276 new joiners across the Midlands.

PwC said 44 per cent are from minority ethnic background­s, 40 per cent are female and 38 per cent have come from households where neither parent has completed higher education studies.

Nationally, the firm has recruited more than 1,300 graduates.

The figures also include 70 undergradu­ates on to PwC’s degree programmes with Nottingham and Birmingham universiti­es.
