LEICESTER City will unveil their two away strips for the new season in late July and late August respectively.

City revealed their new home shirt this week, with the club entering its fifth year with Adidas as their kit manufacturer, but the away jerseys are still some time from being released.

The third strip will not be released until a few weeks into the Premier League season, which kicks off on the opening weekend of August.

Adidas have been bold in their designs for City’s away kits over the past few years, with previous efforts coming in mint green, onyx grey, burgundy and light pink.

There is no word yet on the colour of the shirts for the new campaign.

City have also announced that the new home shirt will go on sale in the club fanstore from Friday, July 15, albeit there will be a limited number.

Because of supply chain issues that held up the unveiling of the kit, not just for City but also other Premier League sides, the club will not have a mass stock of shirts until late August.

The initial batch will be of 5,000 adult shirts and 1,200 junior shirts.

Of these, 2,000 will be available to pre-order between July 1 and 8, with the rest going on sale in the club shop from July 15.

They will be priced at £45 for juniors and £63 for adults. For adults, that is a rise of £3 on last season.

On the limited number of kits available, City said: “We understand the frustration this may cause to fans and continue to work together with Adidas to find the best solution on making further shirts available as soon as possible.

“We extend our apologies to supporters for the potential delay in initial availability.”

City will wear their new home shirt for the first time in public in the away pre-season friendly at OH Leuven on Saturday, July 16. Its first outing at home will be in the showpiece game against Sevilla on Sunday, July 31. ■■What do you think of the home kit?
