Dogs looking for new homes
AN appeal has been launched to find homes for a number of dogs at a rescue centre.
The team at Dogs Trust Loughborough is looking for help to rehome some of its newest guests.
From dogs in need of a good cuddle to those which come in pairs, here are some of the pooches looking for a new home.
1 THELMA AND LOUISE
No, Geena Davis and Susan Sarandon are not in need of new homes (as far as we know), but their shih tzu counterparts are.
Thelma and Louise, who love a fuss, are both aged 10 and in need of a home together.
Any home for the pair must have a garden of its own, while owners must not have other dogs or cats.
2 HENRY
A spritely old pooch, Henry is a 12-year-old bichon frise who appears to live by the mantra that age is just a number.
Energetic as they come, Henry loves a cuddle and is super-friendly too.
Staff say that Henry is suitable in households with children aged 12 and above, and potential owners could also already have a dog.
3 MALLORY
Described as a “gentle greyhound”, Mallory is three years old and loves to relax on the sofa. Well, who doesn’t?
Due to her low-key ways, she’s on the lookout for a quiet home with access to her own space to settle in.
The Dogs Trust says Mallory could live with another dog. She could also potentially live with a cat too, but one of the confident kind.
4 BARNEY AND KENNY
In need of a home together, Barney and Kenny are bichon frises who want to take things easy.
Both aged 12, they’re looking for what Dogs Trust call their “retirement home”.
They need a garden of their own, with potential owners told this is a must because Barney and Kenny love somewhere to potter around in.
5 SNOW
With a sweet sounding name and a sweet looking face, five-year-old crossbreed Snow is described as “very friendly and affectionate”, with potential owners told that he is a “very playful” dog too.
Dogs Trust make clear that Snow must be the only pet at his new home, with potential owners needing to be around him most of the time while he settles in.
