Terrified to open door due to men looking for Thai massage parlour

A WOMAN says she is terrified to answer her front door because of a steady stream of men looking for a Thai massage parlour.

The woman, who does not wish to be identified, said she has been getting up to three men a day knocking on her door – at all hours of the day and night – over the past 18 months.

The innocent householder, who provides no such service, believes the men are getting her home of 20 years confused with a Thai massage parlour nearby in Pool Road, Leicester.

While she found it funny at first, she said she has now been left genuinely scared after one man tried to force his way into her home at the end of last month.

She said: “The man knocked at my door and I went to answer, not thinking this would happen.

“After months of telling people they had the wrong address, I expected the same thing to happen again.

“But I didn’t even get to the door before I saw him trying to force his way in.

“I was shocked and could not believe it. I really didn’t know what to do and he eventually went. It was scary and I was just scared for my daughters.”

The woman is still mystified as to how the confusion began.

She said: “I am worried for my daughters and have told them not to answer the door any more.

“You just don’t know who it will be and what they could do. I never expected something like this to happen.

“I am fearful of answering the door. That’s how bad it is.

“Why this has happened I don’t know. Surely people can see my house isn’t a massage parlour? I just want them to stop.

“At times it feel like it me that has to move away to make it stop as I don’t think they’re going anywhere.”

The Mercury has approached the Thai massage parlour for comment.
