FROM the Palais de Dance through to Creation and more, we’ve enjoyed plenty of nights out in Leicester venues that have been lost to time.

We all fondly recall the sticky floors, sweaty walls and dubious drinks of those nights out. But while the names of the venues - like Flaming Colossus, Creation, Legends, Brannigans and many, many more - live on, sadly, most have long called last orders.

We took on a bar crawl through our archives to find some of the city’s now-vanished nightclubs, including...

1: Club fashions on show at Flaming Colossus in 2000

2: Pc Nick Holley and Pc David Piguillem with lollipops to be given out to nightclubbers as they left clubs in Church Gate, Leicester, in 2001. The hope was that revellers would be less inclined to shout or cause a disturbance. Did you take up the police on their offer?

3: Students in the bar area of Creation, in Church Gate, 2001
