FIVE of Leicester City’s six Premier League fixtures in October will be rescheduled as the 2022-23 diary continues to take shape, writes Amie Wilson.

Premier League games against Nottingham Forest, Crystal Palace, Leeds United, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Manchester City will all be moved, with four of the five matches to be broadcast live on UK television.

The other game has been moved as a result of the rescheduling of matches.

The announcement is frustratingly incomplete for City supporters though, with the East Midlands derby against Forest yet to receive a date and kick-off time.

It has only been announced that Sky Sports will show the game, and that it will no longer be a 3pm kick-off on Saturday, October 1.

A finalised date and time should be given by Friday, August 19.

Elsewhere, the game against Palace at the King Power Stadium will remain on the same date, Saturday, October 15, but kick-off has been brought forward from 3pm to 12.30pm. The match will be shown live on BT Sport.

City were due to host Leeds United at home the following Tuesday, but that game has now been pushed back two days to Thursday, October 20, with kick-off scheduled for 7.30pm.

There is, however, a possibility of kick-off being pushed back to 8.15pm depending on the Champions League schedule that could affect Manchester City and Chelsea. The game against Leeds will be broadcast live on Amazon Prime Video.

The match against Leeds being moved will also have an impact on the following weekend’s trip to Molineux.

The Wolves game has been pushed back to Sunday, October 23, with kick-off at 2pm.

The final fixture to be moved is City’s home clash against Manchester City.

The date remains the same, Saturday, October 29, with kick-off moved forward to 12.30pm and it will be shown live on BT Sport.
