PROVING that after a gazillion series, this format never seems to run out of willing celebritie­s, the ‘oh it’s them off the telly’ version returns.

John Torode and Gregg Wallace welcome more sweating, panicking amateurs, serving up hit-and-miss food for our enjoyment.

The names are actually recognisab­le this year, including former boxing champ Chris Eubank, actor Cliff Parisi, musician Gareth Malone, former footballer Jimmy Bullard,

BBC1, 8pm

TV presenter Kirsty Gallacher, actor Lesley Joseph, TV presenter Lisa Snowdon, singer Mel Blatt, actor Richard Blackwood and actor Ryan Thomas.

Others include TV presenter Adam Pearson, pro dancer Katya Jones, actor Clarke Peters, drag performer Kitty Scott-Claus and reality star MoJo.

This first heat sees musician and TV judge Danny Jones, reality TV star Faye Winter, comedian Kae Kurd, media personalit­y Nancy Dell’Olio and actor and comedian Paul Chuckle take on the culinary competitio­n.

Over six weeks they will face myriad nightmare challenges, including the infamous ‘Under The Cloche’ and ‘Street Food Challenge’, to find out who has the skill and the palate to chop and slice their way to the iconic trophy.

Tonight they showcase one ingredient revealed under the cloche, before trying to identify ingredient­s from a street food dish that is popular in Korea.

Finally, they must prepare their Dinner Party Dish – something they would cook to impress if someone was coming round to eat, in just one hour. For some, just getting anything on the plate will be a miracle. Continues tomorrow and Friday.
