Game of Thrones star in city to open ‘pre-loved’ fashion shop

-

A TV star from one of the biggest hit series of this century is due in Leicester this morning to open a new shop.

Bella Ramsey, who appeared as Lady Lyanna Mormont in the hugely popular Game of Thrones, will officially open new pre-loved fashion store White Rose.

Bella, pictured, who appeared in the sixth, seventh and eighth seasons, is a regular customer at White Rose’s other stores and will cut the ribbon at the new branch in Market Street at 10am.

The store, based in the unit which formerly housed the Leicester Tigers shop, will feature what is described as quality pre-loved womenswear, menswear and childrenswear, with everything from Ralph Lauren and Carhartt to popular high street brands such as Adidas and Zara.

It will be White Rose’s 13th branch. It already has seven stores in Nottingham, with other branches in Beeston, Sheffield and Newark.

Founded in 2009 by Nottingham

Trent University students Grace Walker and Angie Ford, White Rose was started to raise essential funds for The Aegis Trust, a charity which works to prevent mass atrocities and crimes against humanity worldwide.

According to White Rose, every penny of profit goes towards the East Midlands-based charity.

Dominic Carter, of White Rose, said: “We are thrilled to be able to open our new store in Leicester and to have Bella cutting the ribbon is very exciting.

“Bella is a regular shopper in our other stores and a big advocate of being sustainable and helping the environment. Having her open our first store in Leicester is the perfect fit for what we as an organisation are trying to achieve.”
