The county boys face their opening tournament of the new season on April 3 when they defend the BUT
Trophy in a tripartite tournament against Bedfordshire and Norfolk.
It is being contested at Swaffham, Norfolk, and there are teams of eight, with new county boys’ captain Thomas Dziuba (Beedles Lake) heading the side.
Patrick Dempsey, Fynn Colley, Finn Dobson (The Leicestershire), Jack Farley (Kibworth), Harry Finch, Cameron Harris (Cosby) and Max Storer complete the line-up.
The county won the trophy last year at John O’Gaunt. Several members of this year’s team – Colley, Dobson, Finch, Haris and Dziuba – competed on that occasion as well.
