UP FOR AWARDS
THE Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland Care Record has been shortlisted in three categories in the Health Service Journal Digital Awards.
The programme has been recognised in the Digital Team of the Year, Digital Leader and Connecting Health and Social Care Through Digital categories.
The awards recognise innovative digital projects that are transforming care delivery, enhancing efficiency and improving patient outcomes.
The LLR Care Record is joining up people’s health information across the NHS and local authorities.
It means information recorded about someone’s health and care, such as illnesses, treatments and hospital admissions, can be accessed by different people who are directly involved in their care.
It has been rolled out across LLR organisations. More than a million people’s records are now accessible on the LLR Care Record to professionals directly involved in their care.
MORE than two dozen Year 6 pupils of Sacred Heart Catholic Voluntary Academy, in Mere Close, Leicester, sat a Youth Chinese Test Mandarin examination at Leicester Confucius Instutute at De Montfort University.
The school was the first in Leicester to sit the exam, which was taken by the largest number of primary children at the Confucius Institute in its 10 years in Leicester.
Head teacher Kate Hayles said: “We are incredibly proud of our Year 6 children, pictured, for their exceptional performance in the YCT Mandarin examination.”
OAKHAM Shires School, an independent special school for autistic pupils, has been recognised with a gold standard for its implementation of Ask, Accept, Develop (AAD).
AAD was introduced across the group the school belongs to as a neurodiversity strategy to strengthen its approach to the provision of care, education and clinical services.
The strategy recognises that despite underlying shared traits, autistic individuals are vastly different from one another.
Michelle Jordan, acting head teacher, said: “We are very committed to not only ensuring the best outcomes for our pupils but to involve them in the choices made.”
