Change to first class food menu on trains
EAST Midlands Railway (EMR) says its menu for first class travellers has been improved.
The company said a partnership with Soho Sandwich Company had led to the introduction of a new menu.
It include a wide range of sandwiches, including spicy chicken and pepper and tuna crunch, as well as vegetarian options, such as a ploughman’s sub roll.
There will also be a choice of new vegan options, which include chickpea, mango and masala wrap and This Isn’t chicken and stuffing sandwich.
Dave Meredith, customer services director at EMR, said: “We are excited to be able to offer our first class customers an exciting new range of sandwiches which forms part of a collaboration with The Soho Sandwich Company.
“Our fresh spring menu is full of quality items which we believe our customers will definitely enjoy.
“Working with The Soho Sandwich Company also supports our goals to operate as sustainably as possible.
“For any first class customers who fancy a bite to eat while they travel with us, whether it is a sandwich or a quick snack, our new spring menu offers a quality selection to choose from.”
