Woven to perfection
WEAVER MARGO SELBY HAS COLLABORATED WITH HILLARYS TO PRODUCE A CAPSULE COLLECTION WITH STANDOUT GOOD LOOKS
Mid-century modernism is a style that never seems to date. Its slender lines, vibrant prints and mixes of textures still feel fresh today. So we’re getting excited about artist and weaver Margo Selby’s collaboration with Hillarys. Inspired by the geometric graphics of the 1950s, the result of the pairing is a collection of window dressings and soft furnishings which reflect her signature look and marry it with the expertise of Hillarys. The designs include bold and wonderfully versatile patterns.
TAILOR MADE
There are six fabrics, combining typography, tailoring and tessellation. ‘Mori really captures the essence of my vision for the collection,’ says Margo. ‘Stella is very recognisable as the Margo Selby brand and utilises some of my favourite double cloth weave structures. And Lora looks great as curtains – the palette is smart, yet relaxed.’
COLOUR STORY
Available in curtains, blinds and cushion covers, Hillarys has made a feature of Margo’s distinctive use of colour. ‘I’ve used tones that work alongside neutral colours and the shades of building materials: brick, concrete, wood and metal,’ says Margo. Choose from pairings including ochre and silver, teal and green or indigo and ink. ‘Ochre is fresh, uplifting and never seems to clash with but always complements it surroundings.’

‘The quality of the finished pieces is excellent,’ says Margo. ‘It really has been exciting to make my own designs so accessible.’ Hillarys offers unrivalled service with a nationwide network of advisors to help.
