Help to stop the spread of the virus
NOW that more restrictions have been lifted, including the five-mile stay local rule and continued preparations for the return of tourism, we’ll be seeing more people getting out and about in Carmarthenshire.
This is a positive sign which we should welcome, but in doing so we all need to play our part in helping keep Carmarthenshire safe by acting responsibly and with consideration for others.
That’s why this week we have launched our Respect, Protect, Enjoy campaign – a call to people to be socially responsible and help stop the spread of the virus, which we must remember has not gone away.
As more of us venture out into our town centres, visiting local attractions and now forming a social bubble with another household, we’re asking you to: respect – guidelines, safety measures, local communities and others around you; protect – yourself, other people, and critical services, staying at home if you’re unwell and washing your hands often; and enjoy – spend your leisure time safely and support local businesses get back on their feet.
We’ve worked hard to put extra measures in place for your safety and wellbeing across the county, including plenty of signage advising you to keep your distance from other people.
We’ve also supported schools, businesses and the tourism and hospitality sector so that they can welcome people safely once again.
Let’s all do our bit to Respect, Protect, and Enjoy Carmarthenshire.
