numbers throughout the meeting to discard until only one was left. The winner was Pam H whose destination was Amsterdam. Unfortunately, due to lockdown she will be unable to go, but Jane will be delivering her a small bottle of Prosecco instead. Well done Pam. Jane had taken a plant to Marion, who has been unwell but is on the mend. Joan’s hubby, Arthur, has been to the Llanelli recycling centre, but had to book first. Katherine was able to take waste without an appointment as she lives near the Gorseinon centre. Joan and Audrey both have hair appointments in the next week or so. Pat D has been making upside down dolls and the money raised will be going towards the Bryn Hall Christmas tree. Katherine is expecting a new printer as her old one blew up in a recent thunderstorm. Well, it stopped working actually due to an electrical spike during the storm. For those members who are not aware, Dragon’s Lake WI, Canada, has sent the Bryn ladies a moose. The poor thing hasn’t a name yet and members are invited to provide Jane with a name. The winner will be announced in the next Bryn Bugle. Pam R showed everyone other presents sent by the ladies of Dragon Lake. These included Canadian memorabilia and a fluffy beaver. This month’s competition was for the best holiday outfit. The winners were Estelle and Audrey. Well done ladies. Jane later delivered a bottle of something nice as the prizes. The next competition will be announced in advance of the next meeting which will be on Wednesday, August 5 at 6.30pm. Jane welcomes any competition suggestions. In the future – a picnic is hoped will take place. Audrey volunteered her garden as long as members bring their own chairs and crockery. This, of course, all depends on when it is safe. The meeting closed to loud applause when Audrey showed everyone the colourful swimsuit she was wearing.
